In March 2012, SPIN relaunched with a portfolio of new media platforms in addition to an oversized print product that prominently showcased SPIN‘s iconic photography and authoritative writing. The content was focused on timeless, themed stories rather than breaking news and album reviews, which have been moved online. We added to our portfolio of photographers by including the work of Jason Nocito, Dan Martensen, Marton Perlaki, Maciek Kobielski and others. The physical product is considerably larger and a half-pound heavier than the previous incarnation with a thick matte-finish cover stock and a mix of thick, uncoated stocks inside. As a result, it feels more like a book than a magazine.
